Wherever there are goodies to snitch, you will find us. Wherever there is cheesecake, we'll be there! Wherever mid-night munching is threatened, you will find- Plumpy Day, Ned Lovehandler, and Dusty Double Bottoms…The Three Amigas!
We are a competitive trio (two sisters and our mother). Another sister, Bonnie Wangsgard and her husband Marc are also opponents in this competition against El Gordo.
“Plumpy Day” (Angie Nickle) Cold cereal, brownies, and all things Italian and cheesy are the villains that plague me at restaurants, my kitchen, and the grocery store. Whoops, can’t forget DONUTS –fortunately I have a “sniff but don’t touch” policy on those! Resisting sugar & my own “after hours” party in the kitchen will definitely be the two factors that try my determination in this competition!
Hobbies and interests: Woof, hard topics for me to answer…I enjoy taste testing, pow-wows with my mom and sisters, and everything that involves my husband & son. I live to travel but love coming home even more.
Kickin’ it to the curb: Please, let me kick, double bag, and punt my own trash…and maybe Mariel’s (she already looks too good to get the cash too).
My boon is this competition: I LOVE running outside (NOT on a treadmill) with my “plethora” of audio books to help me shake it down the pavement! While I have a tendency to indulge in triple desserts, I also really love healthy foods (easily forgotten in the face of brownies)! A couple of mouthwatering books on healthy foods I'd recommend to anyone seeking appetizing inspiration- “Super Foods Rx” by Pratt and Matthews, and “Deceptively Delicious” by Jessica Seinfeld.
Why I am here: My personal trend has been to work just hard enough to be almost in shape, without giving up too many yummy foods. Additionally, after having my first baby one year ago, weather & a ludicrous sleep schedule have slowwed my pace- I need a push!
Goals in this contest are to: 1. reinstate healthy habits, 2. escape physical mediocrity-yeah, I’m shooting for “optimum physical shape, and 3. re-appreciate and really savor good healthy food. Andale! Arriba! Our blog: Banickle.blogspot.com

“Ned Lovehandler” ( Julie Zito) ---- I am a ravenous carbavore! I love bread, crackers, pasta, cookies and anything that turns to fat the second it enters my body. I’m better off stalking my kitchen with nothing of temptation because my will power is definitely lacking!
Hobbies and Interests: My hobbies these days are mostly centered around my little family. I am the proud parent of two wonderful and adventurous girls, Lilly (4) and Ruby (almost 2). We have a lot of fun pulling weeds in the yard while dad mows the lawn, going to Lilly's T-ball games, going on walks and many other various activities. In my free time I enjoying updating my blog (rjzito.blogspot.com), watching reruns of The Office and Arrested Development, reading or listening to audio books and of course my personal El Gordo, eating snacks!
Trash to Be Kicked: The only person whose trash I want to kick is my own. I can't count the many times I have told myself, I'm going to eat better and exercise more and it doesn't happen so it's time to turn over a new leaf and prove to myself I can do it!
My weakness: Of course the treats and goodies will be hard, but no eating after 8:30 and exercising everyday will be a BIG challenge!
Why I'm here: I would really like to loose a few lbs!! Plain and simple.
Goals in the Contest: To do it and do it well!!!
“Dusty Double Bottom” (Shauna Yarbrough) – a quiet law abiding vaquera, always looking for ways to thwart the evil fat devil and don’t mind being humiliated while doing it. I’ll feel great at the end of this race if I can out-do my strapping young son-in-law, Marc Wangsgard. Marc, I have a six shooter in my belt called “endurance”…ie seven joyful experiences in heavy child labor. Your draw.
My greatest challenge is getting enough water. I can go days without getting thirsty, but chocolate chip cookies I can sniff out anytime, anywhere. I am addicted to running my five mile course, but I’m slow as a donkey. My hobbies and interests are Sudoku, books on tape, watching Perry Mason and World Focus. I like fishing, four-wheeling and hanging out on any beach when it’s hot. My eight children and six grandchildren keep me busy and happy.
For all of you aerobic die-hards, join us in our favorite work-out video! P.S. Be sure to warm up!

That was awesome! You ladies are ALL great writers, and creative! I may just have to put you to work on my other blog...watch out.
AND, angie....speak for yourself, naturally-skinny-butt! YOU are the one who doesn't need to be here and doesn't even know WHY you are so dang skinny!
Anyway, thanks for the post, I'm glad you are all doing this with me!
That was the best!
Angie--I was just thinking about you this morning wondering where you are and what you are up too. So fun to catch up.
